Impound Feline Rescue (IFR) is a volunteer-run, foster-based cat rescue operating across the Perth metropolitan area in Western Australia.
IFR focuses on rescuing unclaimed and unwanted cats, particularly from local pounds, and supporting them through foster care, veterinary treatment, and rehabilitation until they are ready for adoption.
Rather than operating from a central shelter, IFR’s cats are cared for in the private homes of foster carers, with placements matched to each cat’s needs and temperament. Adoption is arranged via meet and greets, helping ensure the right fit for both the cat and the household.
All cats and kittens are provided with essential vet care prior to adoption, including health checks, parasite treatment, desexing, microchipping, and vaccinations, giving adopters confidence that their new companion is starting out with appropriate care.
